Lokomotiv Moscow players played a key role in the Russian national team's 3-0 victory over Kenya in a friendly match on Tuesday.
Sergey Pinyaev gave Russia the lead in the 15th minute with a fine solo effort, before Daniil Kulikov doubled the advantage just before half-time.
Pinyaev added his second of the game in the 65th minute to seal the win for Russia.
The victory was Russia's first under new coach Valery Karpin, who took over from Stanislav Cherchesov after the team's disappointing performance at Euro 2020
Lokomotiv Moscow players have been in impressive form for their club this season, with Pinyaev and Kulikov both scoring goals regularly.
Their performances have helped Lokomotiv to second place in the Russian Premier League, just three points behind leaders Zenit Saint Petersburg.
Russia will now turn their attention to their upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Croatia and Malta
The games will be crucial for Russia's hopes of qualifying for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
