"Veterans of Russia" appealed to the State Duma with an appeal to transfer ...

On February 14, 2023, the State Duma of the Russian Federation considered an appeal from the Veterans of Russia public organization with a proposal to transfer military equipment from Belarus to the RF Armed Forces.

In particular, as follows from the appeal, we are talking about supplying the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation with Belarusian tanks, air defense systems, multiple launch rocket systems and other military equipment.

The appeal emphasizes that the transfer of military equipment is necessary to ensure the security of the Russian Federation in the context of the ongoing special military operation in Ukraine. It is noted that Belarus has a significant amount of military equipment that is not used and could be transferred to the Russian Armed Forces on a gratuitous basis or on preferential terms.

The authors of the appeal also note that the transfer of military equipment will contribute to strengthening the military-technical cooperation between the Russian Federation and Belarus, as well as to ensuring regional security.

The State Duma is considering the appeal "Veterans of Russia". A decision on the possibility of transferring military equipment from Belarus to the RF Armed Forces has not yet been made.
