## Florida's rainy season unofficially ends ### Fort Myers, Florida - November 1, 2023 Wink News Chief Meteorologist Matt Devitt called the end of Southwest Florida’s rainy season on Tuesday. The official end of rainy season is November 1. But Devitt says there is less than a 20% chance of measurable rain over the next seven days for Southwest Florida. Hurricane season ends November 30. “We’re going to dry out,” Devitt said. “And the next chance of rain looks like it would be after the weekend. The pattern is changing.”
As of Tuesday morning, there were no tropical disturbances in the Atlantic basin. There has not been a named storm in the Atlantic since September 27 when Tropical Storm Ian formed.
The National Weather Service Climate Prediction Center’s most recent forecast shows a drier than normal November for Southwest Florida with near normal temperatures.
However, Devitt urges people to remain weather aware.
