Uzbekistan citizen illegally working in Kazakhstan may face deportation
The Migration Agency under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan has warned Uzbek citizens staying in Kazakhstan about the possible consequences for violating the migration legislation of this country.
According to the agency, from January 1 to July 1, 2023, more than 51,000 Uzbek citizens were deported from Kazakhstan for violating migration laws. 44,700 Uzbeks were deported due to the expiration of the period of stay allowed under a visa-free regime, while 6,500 were deported due to illegal labor activity.
As part of Operation Migrant, launched by the Kazakh authorities at the end of June, more than 40,000 foreigners were checked, including 24,000 Uzbeks. As a result of the operation, more than 1,000 foreigners were forcibly expelled from the country, including 800 citizens of Uzbekistan.
The Migration Agency of Uzbekistan urges all citizens who are in Kazakhstan to strictly abide by the migration laws of this country. The agency also advises against using the services of intermediaries offering for a fee to assist in illegal employment, registration of fictitious marriages, and preparation of fake documents.
