Drunk driver tries to escape traffic police in Salihorsk district

The incident occurred on July 20 in the evening.

The traffic police officers of the Salihorsk district police department tried to stop a motorcycle driver who was driving without a helmet. However, the driver ignored the demand and tried to escape.

The chase lasted for several kilometers.

The violator drove along the oncoming lane, creating an emergency situation. As a result, the police officers managed to stop the motorcyclist. It turned out that the man was driving a motorcycle without a driver's license and in a state of intoxication.

The man was taken to the hospital for a medical examination.

A criminal case was initiated against the violator under Part 1 of Article 317-1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus (Driving a vehicle while intoxicated). The maximum penalty under this article is imprisonment for up to three years.
